A celebratory day for the anniversary of the recognition of the Protected Designation of Origin and the related Protection Consortium with producers, experts and historic figures.

Il Consortium for the Protection of DOP Monti Iblei Oil celebrates the 25 anniversary of the recognition of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and the creation of the Consortium itself. The next meeting is scheduled November 21st in Chiaramonte Gulfi, "The Balcony of Sicily", capital of the Iblei and City of Oil. An opportunity to remember this important anniversary which represents a significant milestone, testimony to the excellence, tradition and commitment of local producersThe conference will begin at 9.30am. “25 years of DOP” at the Leonardo Sciascia Hall in Corso Umberto I 61. A tasting of certified DOP oils in the evocative Oil Museum of Palazzo Montesano will close the morning.
