To celebrate sixty years of activity, what better idea could the Bonamini family than opening the company doors to let you experience firsthand all the work that goes into a bottle of oil?

The historic mills

And so it was: Sunday, November 9th, the company has opened the doors of its olive groves and oil mill to the public, offering a guided tour that allowed them to experience firsthand all stages of production. From the olive groves to the bottling plant, guests, entering the modern company, were able to observe the technological research and all the cutting-edge machinery up close and discover the daily work and philosophy that have made Bonamini oil mill one of the most awarded realities in the Veneto region and reference point for Veneto Valpolicella DOP extra virgin olive oil: the company is in fact located in illasi, in that hilly area at the foot of the Veronese pre-Alps which is known throughout the world as Valpolicella.

“Every olive tree represents a long history, and every drop of oil produced at the Bonamini olive mill represents ancient knowledge passed down through generations.” said Giancarlo Bonamini, who personally led some of the visits. "The great success of this event encourages us to look forward with even greater commitment. As my father taught me, we will continue to 'do well', to innovate, to protect our land, and to produce a high-quality extra virgin olive oil that will tell the story of the Val d'Illasi throughout the world."

The Pieralisi centrifugal extractor

Over a thousand people—families, curious onlookers, enthusiasts, and many children—attended the event, made even more special by the clear sun that accompanied tours, tastings, and stories centered around the ancient family olive oil mill, perfectly restored and located in the company shop. This historic memory, especially for younger generations, beautifully illustrates the evolution of extraction techniques and the cultural shifts affecting the world of olive oil. The guided tasting then allowed visitors to delve deeper into the colors, aromas, and textures of Bonamini extra virgin olive oil, learning to recognize its positive attributes and freshness.

The maxi-wishing cake

The cutting of the cake made with Bonamini extra virgin olive oil and the final toast concluded a day of celebration and shared joy.

Seeing over a thousand people at our mill, families and children all together discovering the world of extra virgin olive oil, was incredibly moving. This proves that when you honestly talk about work, tradition, and the land, people respond with affection and great participation. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate these 60 years with us: we hold them all in our hearts. said Sabrina Bonamini, thanking the public and all the company's collaborators who made the event possible.
