FOA – Frantoi Oleari Associati formalized today at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Forestry Sovereignty the request to extend from 15 January to 15 February 2024 la expiry of the deadline for the submission of financing applications relating to tender for the modernization of the mills which, as is known, makes available 100 million euro, proportionally divided between the regions based on their respective numbers in the olive oil sector.

“This request – writes the president of the FOA, Elio Menta (in the picture) – is motivated by the growing number of reports received by us regarding technical difficulties, both of applicants and suppliers, in submitting the relevant financing applications.

Furthermore, it is highlighted – adds Menta – that the tight timing between the opening of the regional tenders, which occurred in conjunction with the pressing activities, and the deadlines for submitting aid, does not allow many beneficiaries to have access to the relevant technical offers containing the improvement definitions aimed at reducing the environmental impact and improving the quality of! product. The most difficult concomitance involves theinevitable risk that many of the financing projects currently being defined cannot be presented within the deadlines. Considering this - concludes the letter - we ask for an extension of the 30-day deadline for submitting the relevant financing applications".

The letter was sent to the general manager of Department of Rural Development Simona Angelini and general director of the Mission Unit for the PNRR, Marco Lupo, and for information to Maurizio Blasi, head of the Department of European and International Policies.
