Borrow the experience “from the vine to the table” with a program “from the mill to the table” which makes it possible to encourage restaurateurs to organize product tasting evenings with IGP or Bio oils from the Marche region and with the presence of oil masters and farmers. It is one of the initiatives on which theAIFO Marche (Italian Association of Oil Millers) and the Cna Farmers of Ancona, shared in a joint meeting to discuss the problems of the sector and share programmatic points to be pursued together.

In the analysis made by the leaders of AIFO Marche - present the president Fausto Malvolti and deputy Gaetano Ugo Agostini – on the problems of the sector, great concern has been placed on the fragmentation of this productive sector: the scarce propensity towards aggregation in this sector does not in fact allow an acceptable profitability on the part of companies.

Another critical element is the need to make people understand the importance of quality artisanal production of olive oil, an element that must be advertised and explained both to the general public of consumers, but also to the ho.re.ca sector ( important channel of distribution of the olive oil product). On this front also the CNA leaders - intervened the president of the Farmers section of Ancona Anna Elisabetta Fenucci, the national president of the CNA Agroalimentare Francesca Petrini and the councilor Marino Mosconi – agreed on the need for action to promote the product, which makes it possible to enhance the work of artisans and farmers. Both associations therefore agree on the importance of the Marche IGP as a point of reference for quality Marche oil.

“Among the common initiatives that we would like to put in place is the promotion of quality olive oil from the Marche region produced with local olives by oil masters. Certainly the law on tourism oil is a step to promote quality production, but our associations deem it necessary to implement more actions”.
