EIMA is a formidable review of technologies for agriculture, the place where all the new products, all the prototypes and the most technologically advanced solutions to meet the production needs of every model of agriculture are valorized. These are the credentials of the international exhibition organized by FederUnacoma, presented to the Italian and foreign press during the conference held at the headquarters of the ICE Agency in Rome.
Big numbers
The 2024 edition – which is held at the Bologna Exhibition Centre from 6th to 10th November – record over 1.700 industries, which exhibit latest-generation machines and cutting-edge technological solutions.
“The Competition-Exhibition of Technical Innovations, which is one of the strong points of the Bologna event and which concerns completely new technologies, designed and developed by companies and inserted into series production – explained during the conference General Director of FederUnacoma Simona Rapastella - This year, 67 award-winning models cover the widest range of products, from tractors to construction machines, from equipment to applied electronics”.
But in addition to being a boundless showcase of innovations, EIMA is a system designed to support the business of companies and the “matching” between supply and demand on a global level. Economic operators, agricultural entrepreneurs and agro-mechanical technicians find in EIMA information support in five languages, interpretation services and contractual assistance.
“The “Special guest” program is fully active, after the success of the last editions – said Simona Rapastella – which includes a hospitality package for importers, retailers and foreign operators, which is added to the incoming traditionally organized in collaboration with ICE, and to the visits of official delegations organized in collaboration with the Embassies and Chambers of Commerce, which offer further opportunities for cooperation, especially for emerging countries”.
Meetings and insights
The themes that will be addressed during the five days of the event through dedicated meetings are also of international scope, including those relating to the global crisis of water resources, the cultivation of marginal territories and extreme areas of the planet, and the creation of the free trade area on the African continent, to which an important Forum is dedicated.
Overall, EIMA 2024 will host no less than 150 conferences, conventions and workshops, to provide updates on technologies and policies for agriculture and agromechanics, broken down by product sector and organised partly within the scope of five thematic halls by EIMA “Components”, “Energy”, “Green”, “Idrotech” and “Digital”.
“Among the thematic areas, EIMA Campus will have particular importance this year – added the Director of FederUnacoma – dedicated to universities, research and training, which includes a program of initiatives coordinated by the Italian Association of Agricultural Engineering AIIA with the presence of 11 universities”. “In this context, a space dedicated to AFI Accademia is planned – concluded Simona Rapastella – the high-level training school established by FederUnacoma, which will begin its activity in January 2025 with training courses also in trade fair management”.
