FOA Italia – Associated Oil Mills announced the official adhesion of theRegional Association of Oil Mills Calabria Citra to its national structure, ratified last Wednesday by the National Council.
“This is a significant step for both associations – it is read in a note from the FOA – which strengthens the representation and protection of the olive oil sector at a national level. With the 30 Calabrian olive oil mills, distributed mainly in the northern part of the region, FOA Italia exceeds the threshold of 300 members, consolidating an increasingly widespread network”.
Elio Maria Menta, National President of FOA Italy, expressed his enthusiasm for this new collaboration: “It is an honor to welcome the Regional Association of Oil Mills Calabria Citra into FOA Italia. The integration of this regional reality represents an added value for our structure, strengthening our commitment to protecting the sector and promoting new opportunities for growth and development for the associated oil mills.”
Leone Chiaramonte, president of the Citra Oil Mills Association, stressed the importance of this affiliation: “We are thrilled to become part of the large FOA Italia family. Our mills will be able to benefit from a consolidated network, accessing new resources, initiatives and tools for enhancing the olive oil sector. It is a fundamental step to ensure greater representation and defense of our production realities.”
The common goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of the olive-oil sector, consolidate the dialogue with the institutions and promote new sustainability and innovation strategies for the sector.
