Every Friday until next December 7th, always starting at 18 pm, the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, together withRegional Elaioteca – House of Extra Virgin Olive Oils of Calabria and the Agriculture Department of the Calabria Region, hosts una at the Residenza Mediterranea MasterClass on extra virgin olive oils products in Calabria, conducted by qualified expert tasters. The initiative aims to highlight the importance of the training of experts in technical tasting, in the valorisation and promotion of quality olive oil production in the area.

The Masterclass on extra virgin olive oils produced in the five provinces of the Calabrian territory represents a specific focus on the sensorial interpretations of the same, in the awareness that extra virgin olive oils each express a unique aroma and flavour, which makes them different from each other.

The meetings that will explain the factors characterizing the diversity of the oil are mainly aimed at to the students of the Residences of the Mediterranean University, and to those who intend to deepen their knowledge on extra virgin olive oil and on the biodiversity that concerns the different olive growing systems.
