“On theecoscheme 3 which concerns the olive sector, upon our precise notification, the regional councilor Donato Pentassuglia he managed to get it unlocking rewards relating to the eco-scheme that will be paid for with the 2023 CAP balances. It is an enormous result, they are facts not words, and Pentassuglia himself, whom we thank for the diligence and effectiveness that have characterized his action in this as in others cases, he acknowledged it publicly. A I also applaud the managers of Agea. We continue to work on the merits of the issues, as we are doing on all the dossiers that concern the relaunch of every single sector of the entire agriculture. Great team work with Pentassuglia, national CIA and Agea managers".

On the sidelines of a television debate on farmers' protests, the president of Cia Puglia Gennaro Sicolo (in the picture) he intervened on an issue that had been asking to be resolved for some time. Last February 1, with a note addressed to the Pentassuglia councilor and the regional director of the Agriculture Department, Gianluca Nardone, Cia-Agricoltori Italiani di Puglia had reported an anomaly that prevented the disbursement of the 2023 CAP balance by Agea to the Apulian olive growers .

“Our technicians studied the situation and identified the anomaly, reporting it to the Puglia Region which, through the direct intervention of the councilor at Agea, resolved the issue,” adds Sicolo. All Apulian olive growers have benefited from the unblocking, including olive growing companies operating in the areas affected by Xylella.

“We interact daily with the Region, the national Government and the European Union, depending on the various levels of skills and prerogatives of each of these important institutional subjects. When there is a need to protest we don't hold back, we demonstrated this by bringing 5 thousand agricultural entrepreneurs to demonstrate in Rome at the end of October and, even before that, by mobilizing hundreds of farmers in the port of Bari, and in front of the Chamber of Commerce offices and other places of representation in Foggia Taranto and Lecce, in the awareness that to solve problems it is necessary to make one's voice heard but also to develop serious proposals, discuss and find solutions".
