The importance of biogas in the olive sector

“This conference – underlined the general manager of Pieralisi Spain and Portugal, Rodrigo Jaén – is an opportunity to show how biogas can transform the olive oil industry, improving its efficiency and sustainability. The recent signing of the Andalusian Biogas Alliance in Jaén, the epicenter of the olive sector initiative and Pieralisi’s headquarters, is an opportunity to strengthen our commitment to innovation and collaboration in sustainable energy solutions. Jaén, with its 67 million olive trees, will play a decisive role in this alliance, concentrating almost half of the biogas projects in Andalusia and positioning itself as the Spanish capital of biogas”.
La Pieralisi, among other things, is a candidate as trusted partner also for promoters of biogas plants which need to properly manage the waste treated in the anaerobic digestion process.
on your part, Genia Global Energy expressed his satisfaction at being able to share experiences and knowledge at OLEOMAQ 2025. “Biogas represents an innovative and sustainable solution for waste management in olive oil production and the current moment represents a unique opportunity, not only for Jaén and the province, but for the entire olive oil sector”, stressed this company, an expert in biogas and renewable energy.
