Does labeling have its time?

We have already talked about the importance oflabel like business card of a bottle, but we haven't yet talked about when and how to affix it. We know that there are various types, double-sided, enveloping, in thick paper, laminated, decorated in relief, smooth, more or less coloured, essential or rich. Identifiers of a specific brand or product, an idea, or a philosophy.

Depending on the type of label and whether the affixing takes place automatically or manually, the modus operandi changes, but it should not be forgotten that, in addition to these aspects, the type of product also influences the process.

In general noIn the case of products such as wine and oil, labeling can take place at the end of the bottling process, while in the case of some products, such as lfor beer, labeling must be brought forward at the moment before filling. In fact, carbonated products require to be bottled at a low temperature, to ensure that problems do not arise during filling, such as the excessive creation of foam. Therefore, before bottling beer or prosecco, for example, you will need to be sure that their temperature is quite low. And the very fact of being in the presence of low temperature liquids will force us to consider labeling times.

It is known that: filling a container with a cold liquid forms what is commonly called condensation, so if humidity is created it is not possible to stick anything on the bottle, which is why the label must be affixed before filling.

What does Quinti propose?

A Quinti machine is made up of multiple technologies capable of satisfying various needs, including that of labelling. The label maker is present in different models offered (with the exception of the GOLD line, as well as MIRROR and JACK specific for beer), therefore whether they are machines dedicated to oil or beer, rather than wine or spirits, by purchasing one of our machines it will be possible to provide labeling automated.

The process, depending on the type of liquid to be treated, takes place before or after filling and therefore the labeller is positioned in a different, but no less efficient, station. In fact, all the labeling machines have been designed to adapt to the various needs of the user, for cylindrical, square or truncated-conical bottles, double-sided or wrap-around self-adhesive labels, even in specific cases and with ad hoc equipment also with round neck or rider.

summing up

In this article we have seen that technologies to be able to simplify human work must necessarily be applied taking into consideration certain elements, otherwise there could be the risk that instead of simplifying the opposite effect would be created, as in the case of the beer labeller. In fact, if the label was placed at the wrong time, i.e. after filling, as usually happens with other liquids, it would not be able to remain attached, for the reasons we have already mentioned above. Therefore, each application must necessarily be subjected to an overall evaluation before being intended for use, in order to benefit from it.
