Italian oil recovering, foreign inventories are growing

Sales of Italian extra virgin olive oil which in March exceeded the 12 thousand tons, compared to the 9 registered in the previous month. At the same time shopping continues of the oil industries of extra virgin olive oil both in the EU and outside the EU. These are the most evident news from the monthly report Oil mill Italy (as of March 31, 2023), with which theIcqrf photographs the situation of olive oils held in Italy by subjects obliged to keep the related electronic register.
In domestic tanks they are stored almost 300 thousand tons of oil, Of which 116 thousand Italian ages (-9.5% compared to the previous month), 86 thousand of European extra virgin (+ 1,5%), 11 of non-EU extra virgin olive oil (+ 6,4%) and 5.600 of extra virgin olive oil blended between EU and non-EU oils. Practically insignificant the values ​​of virgin oils (4.589 tons), while even if there are small reductions, the quantities of olive pomace oil (26 thousand tons), lamp oil (25 thousand tons) and olive oil and refined (17 thousand).
Among the extra virgins 7 thousand tons are organic with the Puglia which holds almost the 38% followed by Toscana e Sicilia al 14%.
Altogether we have 40 thousand tons less than a year ago, exactly that of Italian extra virgin olive oil (they were in fact 158 thousand il 31 March of the 2022).
