If Tuscany and Umbria together have more oil than Puglia

For the first time stocks of Toscana ed Umbria put together (71 thousand tons) are superior to those of the Apulia (69 thousand). If there is a curiosity in the new installment of monthly report of Frantoio Italia elaborated byIcqrf it is referred to June maybe this is it. Thanks to the increase of nearly 2 tons of lampante oil in Tuscany supplies which has thus perfectly balanced the 2 tons of extra virgin olive oil in its tanks (from 39 thousand to 37 thousand tons). And thanks to 800 tons of virgin, lampante, refined and pomace oil who have replenished the Umbrian reservoirs, compared to 3.500 tons less extra virgin. In the same period the main olive growing region – the Puglia precisely – reduced by 10 tons of its own extra virgin olive oil, to which they added 500 tons of virgin oil and 2 thousand tons of refined olive oil less, while it saw its share of 1500 tons of pomace oil and 900 tons of lampante oil.

On balance, the stocks today in Italy they amount to 233 thousand tons, 22 thousand less compared to the previous month. From Italian extra virgin they are left 76 thousand tons (-16% from the previous month), of that community 70 thousand (-8%). During the month, inventories of organic (30 against the previous 33) and 1,5 million liters gli DOP and IGP certified oils which now amount to 1,3 million liters, 70% of which are branded Terre di Bari (29,8%), Tuscany (14,2%), Sicily (13%) and Val Mazara (12,8%).
