After the first three editions held in the United Statesin Greece and in Spain, will be theItaly to host this year the International symposium on oil and health. The appointment, promoted by the prestigious stars and stripes university Yale University in collaboration with the 'University of Rome Tor Vergata andUniversity of Bari Aldo Moro, will be held in Roma, Valentini Palace, from 15 al September 18th next.
An opportunity to raise the synergy between science, technology and culture where all the issues that embrace the olive oil sector will be placed at the center of the discussion: the production aspects and those related to transformation, the latest technological innovations, organoleptic qualities, food and wine, nutraceutical and health benefits, marketing and communication , economic policy choices, environmental issues to tackle climate change, with a view to sustainable management of the olive grove and oil mill and in a strong circular economy perspective.
Very high level of speakers from Italy and the world for an appointment addressed to all the protagonists of the supply chain: producers, millers, oil industry, trade associations, professional organizations, researchers, institutions, stakeholders. An opportunity to meet and discuss also aimed at promoting partnerships and collaborations among the participants.
The entire organization was taken care of by the professors Alessandro Leone (University of Bari), Laura Di Renzo (Tor Vergata University Rome) Tassos Kyriakides and Vasilis Vasiliou (Yale University) and Francesca Rocchi (Slow Food).
