For several months Italy Olive growing started a information path aimed at the Italian olive sector as a whole in order to amplify the effects of the technical activities that it has been carrying out on the territory for years, with the financial support of the European Union, thanks to the implementation of operational programs financed under the Regulations (EU) 611-615/2014 and subsequent amendments
The Consortium with this objective in mind, strengthened by the collaboration with theNational Academy of Olive and Oil, has set up a communication plan in which numerous initiatives and events are envisaged, some in presence, others, more numerous, online, in addition to the production of information and promotional material, functional to the events, and a periodic newsletter.
The recently established Consortium Study Centre, regularly prepares the newsletter which covers technical and economic aspects related to the sector and dedicates, among other things, a specific section to the territories reporting the initiatives carried out by the territorial organisations. Among the various activities, the communication plan of Italia Olivicola provides for the creation of webinars with which to disseminate the results of the activities carried out and transfer the information acquired for the benefit of the entire sector.
In carrying out some seminars, the Consortium also makes use of the collaboration of theAIFO, the Italian Association of Oil Millers, with the support of which topics relating to traceability, certified according to ISO 22005:08, and to the quality of the productions, for which the involvement of the entire supply chain is essential, were addressed.
Among the recently organized and realized seminars, those entitled “The importance of the blockchain for Italian olive oil: the case of Italia Olivicola” e “The sustainability certification of olive farms” which are examples of the activities carried out in the area and of the target to which the Consortium addresses and both can be reviewed on the Consortium's YouTube channel.
