With "La Merenda nell'Oliveta" to rediscover taste and nature

The talking olive tree. This is the name of the initiative that will make the third edition of “The Snack in the Olive Grove” a unique and unforgettable experience. In 100 Cities of Oil who have joined the initiative, it will be the olive trees through the voice of their olive growers who will tell us their millenary history, with events that will take place from the end of April to mid-June.
An original way to bring the participants of the event promoted by theNational Association of Oil Cities, through the passionate and emotional storytelling of the guardians and witnesses of this ancient culture. And all this happens while enjoying the beauty of a day of relaxation in the open air immersed in the olive-growing landscape, sitting in the shade of the olive trees, enveloped in the warm colors of the sunset. An unmissable opportunity to rediscover nature and the taste for conviviality, letting yourself be enchanted and lulled by the magic and beauty of the historic parks of olive trees and olive groves and participating in tasting courses, educational workshops, meetings with olive growers, themed poetry readings oil, live concerts in the shade of the olive trees at sunset.
“The Merenda nell'Oliveta is always an eagerly awaited event. The trend is growing: this year the Oil Cities that have organized the Merenda are many more and they are increasingly aware of the need to invest in oil tourism - he declared Michele Sonnessa, president of the Oil Cities – our villages are the destination of community tourism. Visitors are looking for unique experiences related to the world of oil, which is why we have decided to let the secular and millenary olive trees, which are the flagship of our olive-growing heritage, speak through the voice of the people who take care of them: the olive growers. Thus we plan to bring people closer to this extraordinary crop which, due to abandonment in some areas of the country, is in danger of disappearing. It takes a lot of love and a lot of care to preserve the immense heritage we have and we have a duty to value the commitment of our olive growers".
They are 17 regions involved: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, Umbria and Veneto. Puglia is the most virtuous region with 16 snacks scheduled. Tuscany follows with 15, Sardinia with 11 and Lazio with 8.
