Is called "Enhancement of the quality extra virgin olive oil supply chain in Calabria and environmental and energy valorisation of residues and by-products" and it is the project of the Chamber of Commerce of Cosenza with which it intends to intensify support activities for the olive sector.
The project has as partner theOp Asprol andUniversity of Reggio Calabria and, with research and training tasks, the Special Company Promocosenza, which will make use of the collaboration of Dintec, an in-house company of the Chamber of Commerce system, with consolidated experience in the sector.
The goal is to identify a research and experimentation program to define the criteria for a environmentally sustainable management that represents one cost-effective process for companies and guarantee one quality production to the consumer. In particular, the project aims to oOptimize cultivation operations and transformation through the rand use of residues and by-products with their valorisation within a circular economy applied to the oil supply chain.
The laboratory division of Promocosenza, for the tests relating to the oil, will carry out the part of the analyzes on the quality of the product before and after the use of the compost and will participate in the dissemination seminars.
With the involvement of Dintec we are moving in the direction of process improvement. The company has consolidated experience in the qualification of agri-food productions and possesses numerous and diversified capabilities: technological; regulations; market analysis; territorial analysis; of analysis of business dynamics also of micro-enterprises. His support to Promocosenza it will also be valuable in the part relating to the definition of a supply chain specification which will regulate, among other things, the production and use of compost and in the communication and dissemination of the results that will follow the implementation of the project.
