Italian extra virgin olive oil continues to have its own appeal in the foreign market , export growth recorded during 2023 is an excellent indication of this. The incoming will then continue with a visit to the manufacturing companies and the discovery of the production area".

For its part, the president of Unioncamere, Andrea Prete, stressed: “Olive oil constitutes an element of identity, a pillar of biodiversity, which with more than 500 varieties confirms Italy on the podium of the major world producing countries, positioning itself in second place for production and second exporter with 359 thousand tonnes in 2022. Italy - has continued - It boasts one million hectares of olive groves, which represents a strong territorial character. That of Italian extra virgin olive oil is a supply chain, not only of great territoriality, but also of quality and expressiveness of our Made in Italy. And it is precisely on the territories and on promotional actions to link food and wine to tourism that we must continue to work".
