The one promoted by is a good initiative Salerno confagriculture on the initiative of Leonardo Feola which brings together at the same table the olive oil supply chains of Italy and Spain for a comparison both on the techniques of transformation and enhancement of extra virgin olive oil and on the promotion of oil tourism. The appointment is for next Saturday May 20th (beginning at 9.00) in the conference room of the HHotel Capital in Quadrivio di Campagna (Sa) and was born on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Spanish Association of Mastri Oleari (Aemoda).
The parterre of speakers was more than qualified with the aim of drawing from their mutual experiences the birth of an integrated collaboration between the two European countries closely linked by olive growing, also through a long-lasting memorandum of understanding which points to a synergy capable of looking at the environmental, but also the economic and social sustainability of the supply chain.
We will start right from the innovations in the extraction plants for the improvement of the quality of the virgin olive oils with the interventions of Manuel Caravaca, president of Aemoda e Alexander Leo, professor at the "Aldo Moro" University of Bari. An extremely interesting comparison to understand, from two of the most authoritative personalities of the scientific world, the evolution of research in their respective countries, with the interested participation of Assofrantoi which is one of the sponsoring bodies of the initiative. We will then enter the qualitative aspects of Spanish and Italian oil with the ideas of Jose Penco, director of the Spanish Association of Olive Municipalities e John Pipolo, panel leader of the Salerno Chamber of Commerce. In the afternoon, then, space for the experience of oil tourism of Spanish and Italian farms and oil mills, for an exchange of experiences that can fully exploit this form of tourism which can become an important lever in the productive growth of an oil mill.
