While waiting for the publication of regional tenders, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Forestry Sovereignty has published the third block of FAQ relating to incentives for innovation and mechanization in the agricultural and food sector relating to the sub-measure “modernization of oil mills”. Among the elements of attention in this new block is the issue relating to the accumulation of state aid in the various permitted forms.

As is known, the Ministerial Decree, as amended after the green light from Brussels, allows the Regions and autonomous Provinces to issue their respective calls for tenders with a public support of 65% on eligible costs, arriving at'80% for investments by young farmers.
In this regard, we remind you of the timetable established by the Decree:
• by 31 October 2023 – Publication of regional notices;
• within the 15 January 2024 – Deadline for acquiring applications for support;
• by 30 April 2024 – Selection of eligible applications and formation of the ranking (list of eligible projects) and communication to the beneficiaries with indication of the conditions for financing and implementing the initiative;
• by 10 May 2024 – Transmission to the Ministry of Agriculture, by the Regions and Autonomous Provinces, of the outcome of the selection of applications and the formation of the ranking with the indication of the sums exceeding those necessary for the payment of all the admitted beneficiaries, for the purposes of the subsequent reassignment of resources by the Ministry, in implementation of the provisions of point 1) of Section I;
• by 20 May 2024 – Reallocation by the Ministry of the excess resources referred to in the previous point, pursuant to the provisions of points 2) and 3) of Section I;
• within the 31 January 2026 – Completion of the investments and submission of the application for payment of the balance by the beneficiaries;
• by 31 May 2026 – Payment of the final contribution to all beneficiaries.
