Aifo, Italian Association of Oil Millers, remember that from the next 1 ° July 2022 it will be possible and necessary to activate the procedure "Closure of the marketing campaign" on the computer system SIAN oil portal.
The SIAN function allows the system to automatically calculate the stocks of each structure as at 30 June 2022 by historicizing the data entered up to then and making it no longer modifiable. The marketing campaign can also be closed after 1 July, provided that this operation is carried out before the first operation relating to the next 2022/2023 oil campaign.
A classic example concerns the mills characterized by purely seasonal work that therefore they will be able to close the marketing campaign before making the first movement at the new opening.
Aifo recommends, before closing the marketing campaign, to check the actual stocks of the mill by comparing them with those reported in the SIAN. In case of slight misalignments due to losses, dips, exceeds, etc. you can proceed using the codes provided by the SIAN; there is also the function of "Stock Reset" to allow the correct stocks of bulk oil to be communicated in order to remedy any discrepancies on the components on behalf of third parties and to eliminate those empty containers but which have a positive and a corresponding negative component divided between own and third parties.
Once applied, the command brings the stock of the tank concerned back to 0 kg, it will then be possible to enter the actual stock using the generic code Z. For the operational procedures for closing the campaign and resetting the stock, refer to the documentation in the SIAN in the section "Documents".
Aifo, remaining available to its associates for any need, reminds the millers that, if they are equipped with dedicated management software, it is advisable to contact the respective company for the relative request for assistance.
